We are a new concept created by the Hirohisa team.

In the same Thompson Street space where Hirohisa welcomed guests for thirteen years,

Soba Ulala begins a new chapter in a familiar home.

Centered around the beloved house-made soba that so many came to love,

we carry forward the flavors and philosophy of Hirohisa

while introducing a more relaxed, à la carte style.

“Ulala” is a word from the chef’s hometown dialect meaning “we” or “us.” It reflects our hope that this restaurant will feel like a shared home, a place that belongs not only to us, but to our guests as well.

Lunch  Tue. - Fri.   open at 12:00 pm

Dinner Tue. - Sat.   open at 5:30 pm,  last seating 9:00

For parties of 1- 5, We take reservations via RESY. 

For parties of 6+, please contact us.

Please read our policies carefully before booking. 

Online reservations are available 14 days in advance.

Cancellation Policy

Reservations may be canceled up to 24 hours prior to your scheduled dining time.

Should you need to cancel within 24 hours of your reservation, we kindly ask that you do so on Resy as early as possible. We will gladly waive the cancellation fee if another guest is able to rebook your released seats.

As a small restaurant with only 20 seats, we sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

This policy helps us manage our limited capacity and continue providing the best possible experience for all of our guests.

Please note that, under any circumstances, no-shows, cancellations or rescheduling after the reservation time, as well as reductions in party size without prior notice,

will incur a fee of $100 per person for dinner and $50 per person for lunch.

We may also be unable to accommodate future reservations.

Dietary request

Our restaurant is unable to accommodate gluten-free, wheat, or soy allergies.

For vegetarian or vegan guests, we are only able to offer accommodations

if bonito dashi (fish broth) is acceptable.

 

Arrival
We kindly ask that you arrive on time and be mindful of the guests seated before and after you.

We allow a 10-minute grace period. Reservations may be released

if guests arrive later than this without notice.

To accommodate all of our guests, table time is limited to two hours.

We kindly appreciate your understanding.

Corkage Fee

Our corkage fee is $60 per standard bottle and $100 per magnum bottle.
Guests are welcome to bring in their own wine or sake; however, we do not allow bottles that are already listed on our menu.

Outside Food and Beverage

Outside food and beverages are not permitted, with the exception of celebration cakes.
Please contact us in advance for further details.

Regarding Noodle Takeout

Our noodles are not prepared for takeout. As time passes, they tend to lose their texture and quality, and we cannot guarantee the same dining experience as when served in-house. For this reason, we do not recommend taking noodles to go.

To help reduce food waste, we are happy to offer smaller portions upon request, depending on your appetite. Please feel free to let us know your preference. Kindly note that portion adjustments do not affect the price.

Service Charge

A 20% gratuity will be added to parties of 5 or larger.​
